Q: How to book train ticket on myanmartraintickets.com



A: It is easy. Start by choosing your destination/route then desirable class and ticket delivery method. After that, all you have to do is give us your information such as contact detail and attached passport copy/scan, and continue your payment for that booking. Our automated system will give you reference no for your booking which you can use to trace your booking status later on via email or our website.

 

 

Q; What to do next after I make the booking along with payment?



A: You just have to sit back and wait while we are working on it. As soon as we get the booking with successful payment, we will review the booking and reply you via email with the exact ticket delivery date (or) pick up date. Then with your passport copy, we will continue our booking process.

Due to Ministry of Myanmar Railway policy, we can only issue ticket along with your passport copy/scan 1 to 3 days before travel date and passenger must present the original paper ticket when you board on the train.

 

 

Q; How to get original paper ticket?



A: You can pick up the original paper ticket at our Yangon office (for the train departing from Yangon. Ticket can be collected in the following address during office hours in business working days.

Yangon Office Address: No.391, Waizayantar Road, Za/South Ward, Thingangyun Township, Yangon.

 

Alternatively, we can also delivery ticket to your given hotel. Delivery in Yangon (for the train departing from Yangon) will be charged USD8 per location. It is free delivery in Mandalay (for the train departing from Mandalay) and in Bagan (for the train departing from Bagan).



(Please be ensured that ticket will only available to collect 1 to 3 days before travel date)

 

 

Q: What are the differences between first class ,upper class and sleeper class?

 

·      Ordinary class     : Basic wooden seats with no cushion

·      First class            : Wooden seats with cushioned bottoms

·      Upper class         : Large aeroplane style seats which recline.

·      Standard sleeper : 2 to 4 sleeper berths in compartments. Available only on some of the Mandalay to Myitkyina, Yangon to Mandalay, and Yangon to Bagan trains.

·      Special sleeper    : 4 berth sleeper compartments with their own toilet and direct access from the platform. These seats are only normally available on trains between Yangon and Mandalay.

 

 

Q: Can we take the train with e-ticket or reference number?



A: According to Myanmar Railways policy, only original paper ticket is allowed to take the train at this time. The paper ticket is normally issued 1 to 3 days before travel date.

 

Q: Can I cancel or refund or amend my booking?



A: Amendment and Cancellation can be made if the travel date is more than 10 days away from the date of amendment or cancellation is requested. Cancellation fees of 2 USD per seat may apply.

All cancellation and amendment request must be done by writing to our email [email protected]

-  Within 10 days before travel date >> no cancellation or no amendment is allowed

-  above 10 days before travel date  >> Amend free, but Cancellation is USD2 per seat

 

 

Q: Why do I need to attach passport scan photo?



A: According to Myanmar Railways policy, we require passport scan/copy of all passengers to reserve the seat.

 

 

Q: Why can’t we book for tomorrow?



A: Our system only allows the booking that are 7 days in advance to Travel date because it needs sometimes to review and make reservation the before we actually issue the original ticket for our customer.

 

Q: How do I confirm my booking?



A: You can always make sure that your payment gets through successfully. You can trace your ticket via email or website track link by using reference no that is provided when you make the booking.
