||Ye is a town in the southern end of Mon State, Myanmar. It is the principal town of Ye Township of Mawlamyine District. The town is located by the Ye River as it drains into the Gulf of Martaban, and is surrounded by Tenasserim Hills in the east.Ye is a remote and rarely visited town in Mon State, situated between Mawlamyine and Dawei on a picturesque river bend. It hosts an attractive lake, which can be found close to the centre of town. Lined by trees and a monastery, the lake also has a central pagoda on a jetty where you will be encouraged by locals to feed the fish! There are a number of beer stations, tea houses and restaurants dotted around Ye, including one with attractive views of the river bend. The monastery is on a spur road off the main road to Mawlamyine and can be reached by taxi or motorcycle taxi. It should be noted that although Ye is close to the coast, the beaches in this area are not as attractive as those you will find further south around Dawei or in the Myeik Archipelago.
